Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. Dry Cupping Vs Wet Cupping
DRY CUPPING: The Acupuncturist heats the inside of each cup — typically with an alcohol-soaked cotton ball that is set aflame. The heat sends oxygen out of the cup, creating a vacuum. Some providers use a suction device to remove air from cups. Once placed on your skin, the vacuum force pulls the skin up into the cup.
WET CUPPING: Your provider uses a needle to lightly puncture your skin before, and sometimes after, cupping. Toxins leave the body through puncture wounds during the cupping procedure.

Cupping therapy is an excellent treatment option for children and teenagers, addressing a variety of concerns such as stress, back and shoulder pain, tension headaches, and more.
When working with young clients, we allow them to choose how tightly the cups are applied, similar to how adults can customize the intensity of a massage. We always begin with a gentle approach, ensuring the child's comfort every step of the way.
While cupping may leave marks, the gentle technique we use for children results in lighter marks that typically fade within 2-3 days. These marks are rarely dark or lasting.
Cupping is painless, highly effective, and a favorite among kids for its soothing benefits.
